andrew and the dehumidifier incident
My house has no ventilation.
Shortly after I moved in, my dresser drawers became harder & harder to open. Water accumulated and dripped from one window. I got a Japanese dehumidifier which actually works [below]. Best I can figure, the little balls in the top of the box pull moisture through the top membrane somehow.

A few weeks ago, while changing my bed's sheets, I noticed some mold around the bed. The mattress had been flush against the wall.
Daiso was out of the dehumidifier boxes so I bought an expensive one. It's pulling gallons of water per day out of my house. It's shrinking the dresser drawers and now I can actually use it again. No real point to the story, I'm just amazed at how much water can be pulled from the air.

Oy, mold by your bed, not good. For being relatively small, your house has some character to it (not necessarily in a good way)...
