flags of the world.
Cleaning up some areas of a website at work, I was going through the flags of the world - most of them are not very interesting but I found these that caught my eye:
I just realized that all of these flags are from islands... weird.

Navassa Island - I like the lighthouse and the plain colors. It sums up the island quite nicely.
Here's what wikipedia says about the flag:
The unofficial flag of Navassa Island was designed for and first flown at a World War II memorial tribute at the USS Arizona Memorial at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii on December 7, 2001. It is a white and blue horizontal bicolor, with a profile of the island (and its landmark lighthouse, with exaggerated size) in the white band.
The United States and Haiti both claim Navassa Island. Thus the official flag, if used on uninhabited Navassa, is similarly disputed; it's either the flag of the United States or the flag of Haiti.
Isle of Man - Quocunque Jeceris Stabit (Latin)
"Whithersoever you throw it, it will stand"

Midway Islands - I really like the seagull.
